The Administrative Assistant / Buyer position will report to the Procurement Lead and P2GLS/Amentum leadership. Will be responsible for Sourcing and Procuring Auto Parts and Construction materials. Will maintain CPSR audit ready Procurement files and or P-Card files. The Procurement Lead will assign daily tasks and will set priorities.
Responsibilities will include:
Sourcing and awarding purchase orders.
Will maintain CPSR audit ready Procurement files. Your Procurement tasks will be assigned to you by the Procurement Lead, and he/she will set your priorities.
Adhere to the Amentum Policies and Procedures and the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
Administrative duties as required.
Maybe tased to work proposals, and additional duties and projects as assigned.
The Administrative Assistant / Buyer may be available within 2 hours to meet on the installation with APLS Leadership to discuss problem areas.
A minimum of (2) two years Procurement experience or four (4) years previous experience working in vehicle maintenance shops.
Four (4) years experience working on a U.S. Government contract is preferred.
Two (2) years in Procurement as a Buyer or a Sourcing Clerk.
Preferred knowledge of governing supply systems (e.g. GFEBS, GCSS - Army programs, MAXIMO and Cost Point).
Bilingual English/Spanish is required.
Excellent organizational, attention to details and time management skills.
Strong computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Office, Word and Excel.
Valid driver's license.
Ability to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain requirements for duration of employment is required.
Experience providing excellent customer service in supporting contract responsibilities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities and schedules and under pressure of deadlines while maintaining performance standards.
Must be able to drive a vehicle and / or pickup truck to pick up parts and materials in and around Comayagua, Tegucigalpa, and San Pedro Sula as required.
Bachelor’s Degree is preferred or four (4) years of procurement experience in lieu of a degree.
Employees must be willing and able to perform regular job requirements in this environment. Employees must be willing and able to perform physical activities including, but not limited to, heavy lifting and moving of items, parts, assemblies, and equipment up to the safety regulation maximum; climbing in and out of equipment; crawling; and working outdoors.
