What you need to know about the role:
We are seeking a talented Engineering Manager to lead our Braintree Web SDK team.
You will lead a team of 7 to 10 Experienced US based engineers
Your responsibilities include managing a team of engineers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable solutions, and engaging with external developers
You will set clear goals, define project requirements, and manage priorities in collaboration with cross-functional teams
You will implement best practices and drive technical excellence by understanding and addressing developers' needs
Our team is dedicated to reinventing online payments, enabling merchants worldwide to accept payments within their apps and websites. As a leader, you will play a key role in delivering innovative solutions and exceptional support to our developer community
You will oversee the development of new payment methods and features, shaping the next generation of our developer experience
Meet the team:
We do a lot of open-source development as some of our SDKs are in public GitHub
We build and support Braintree’s SDKs, which are the primary way for a merchant to accept payments on their websites and mobile apps
We are launching new and interesting ways to pay through our SDKs
We create easy-to-use developer tools that supplement our SDKs and Integrations
We are focused on improving the developer experience by engaging with the external developer community, creating tutorials, and blogs.
Qualifications:
+7 years of Web Development experience
+3 years of experience working in a large-scale organization
Proven experience in a leadership (Manager or Tech-Lead) role, preferably in a Web, Full-Stack or SDK development environment
Passion for mentoring and developing engineering talent
Experience building JavaScript and TypeScript applications
Experience in developer-facing products (e.g. SDKs, REST APIs, GraphQL) or products that enable third-party application development
Nice to have:
Experience with payment processing, e-commerce, or financial technology is a major plus
