What you'll be doing
You’ll be joining CIBC’s Digital Technology team, where we’re at the forefront of the bank’s digital transformation. As a Lead Android Developer, you’ll deliver complex, enterprise-scale mobile projects that integrate with multiple back-end systems. You’ll build, implement, and maintain flexible and personalized Android solutions that enhance the client experience. In this role, you’ll lead the planning and strategy for technical design, development, and integration of Android applications. You’ll have the opportunity to contribute to tier-1 banking apps, gain valuable insights into the banking domain, collaborate with a talented team, and work on transformative initiatives such as Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) migration and AI enablement.

How you'll succeed
Design and Development - Coordinate and perform complex application programming activities, ensuring high-quality and efficient solutions.
Strategic Planning - Develop and maintain multi-year technology roadmaps that align with CIBC’s vision, strategy, and business objectives.
Technical Leadership - Lead code review sessions and act as a role model, supporting the team to ensure project objectives are met.
Collaboration - Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative mobile solutions and drive the success of digital projects.

You have significant experience. You bring 7+ years of hands-on expertise in native Android development, including proficiency in Kotlin, Compose UI, Web Services, XML, Subversion, and GIT.
