As the Supply Planner, China, you are part of a Global Operations Team and play a key role in leading the end-to-end supply and replenishment process in China.

About You

We’re looking to recruit a Supply Planner, China, reporting to the Planning Manager, based in Shanghai.  

This role will start on a 1-year contract subject to permanent headcount conversion.

This is a varied role for a person who has a strong sense of urgency and able to solve issues with speed and efficiency. You should also have excellent communication and influencing skills to work in partnership with various stakeholders within the business as well as external service providers.

What You’ll Be Doing

Driving the monthly replenishment process by:

  • Translating monthly S&OP numbers into a replenishment plan.

  • Interface with commercial and APAC demand planners for data anomalies and or updates

  • Update APO with replenishment forecast before cycle cut-off

  • Generating purchase orders (PO) with sufficient lead times to vendors

  • Drive weekly Supply Review Meetings with the China commercial team.

  • Highlight root causes for any deviations from plans

  • Establish mitigating action plans where applicable

  • Manage end-to-end planning under toll manufacturing environment, incl. raw material planning, material inventory control, tolling capacity plan and FG supply.

  • Participate in monthly and weekly APAC supply chain meetings

  • Reassess and update any changes to replenishment plans as and when new demand and supply information is available.

  • Generate adhoc PO & stock transport orders (STO)

  • Coordinate interplant transfers

  • Coordinate with vendors (external and intercompany) regarding replenishment shipment status.

  • Interface with the CS team regarding inbound shipments and stock transfers to fulfil customers’ orders.

  • Interface with the import logistics team to monitor the status of in-transit stock

  • Escalate inbound damage stocks for appropriate actions.

  • Execute monthly Risk Control Management reporting

  • Participate in relevant Local, Regional and/or Global initiatives.

  • Support performs goods receipt (GR)

Environment Health & Safety (EHS)

  • Perform, maintain and improve the EHS standards and requirements as set by the Company.

  • Participate in the company’s EHS program including training, audit etc., arranged by the company

This role is assigned to operate in Shanghai, Xuhui district

What You’ll have

  • A Degree in Business Administration, engineering, supply chain or related discipline

  • Minimum 5 years of supply chain experience

  • Experience in handling end-to-end supply planning including raw materials, finished goods and inventory management

  • Experience with APO & SAP system

  • Experience in working with 3PL service providers is an added advantage

  • Experience in managing products with batches is an added advantage

  • Good analytical skills

  • Be curious and have the courage to challenge the status quo for process improvement

  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and under tight deadline

  • Good Excel skills – able to generate reports using Excel, Power BI etc.

  • Ability to follow through to meet deadlines and in a fast-paced working environment

  • Fluent in English and Chinese
