Who You’ll Work With:
We are looking for an Institutional and Defined Contribution Marketing Associate to support our defined contribution (DC) and institutional business.
DC marketing works to position and support AB’s investment services to workplace retirement plans (i.e., 401(k) plans) of all plan sizes in the US. In this role, the associate will assist the Head of Defined Contribution Marketing to develop new materials and execute integrated campaigns to support the marketing and promotion of our DC business in the large-mega market institutional channel (direct to plan sponsor).
Institutional marketing designs and executes upon a strategic marketing program to build upon AB’s brand as a thoughtful and considerate institutional investment manager: one who has outstanding investment professionals across asset class and strong investment capabilities, but who also goes out of their way to help clients beyond just being a provider of investment management services. The associate would assist the Head of Global Institutional Marketing as well as the Head of North America Institutional Marketing in the development and distribution of various types of marketing content such as emails, presentations, videos, webpages etc., coordination of events and internal communication with the sales and client service teams.
What You’ll Do:
The Marketing Associate will interact closely with many internal groups such as Sales & Client Services, Marketing, Creative, Legal and Compliance, and Business Development, as well as external business partners.
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Manage marketing production process (emails, presentations, videos, webpages, etc.) by interfacing with various cross-functional teams
Marketing emails
Design and develop OFTs as well as build email campaigns on the digital mailing platform for a variety of marketing initiatives
Help the sales team to ensure email distribution lists are kept current
Track and monitor engagement metrics on email campaigns and promotion of thought leadership
Communicate marketing analytics to key stakeholders
Website
Update the featured content on the landing page to highlight the latest promotional content
Review webpages to ensure messaging and information is up-to-date (quarterly)
Update the ABIQ (a quarterly digital newsletter) microsite as we publish each new edition
Track and monitor website metrics
Social Media
Collaborate with design, editorial, compliance, and product to create content and manage project plans for various social media campaigns
Manage organic social media platform for Institutional sales advisors to post to individual networks
Partner with AB PR Team to showcase content on corporate social media channel
Events
Develop webinar invitations (OFT and mass email campaigns)
Partner with events team to create registration websites for participants
Promote events to drive attendance and partner with the sales team to send out invitations
Set up and manage webinars on webinar platforms and track attendance, obtain replay files, and develop follow-up email communications
Craft marketing materials and execute on other deliverables for external conference sponsorships
Track external conference attendance and share participant lists with sales team
Other marketing production
Create marketing videos with the video team occasionally
Develop white papers and reports with the Editorial team and the Production team occasionally
Share important information with sales teams regarding marketing materials to ensure they are leveraging content
Contribute to internal communication emails to communicate with sales team on the latest marketing collateral
Maintain and update marketing materials
Update the core marketing materials for our lifetime income solutions (quarterly)
Update firm overview slides (quarterly)
Update the institutional firm brochure (semi-annually)
Update presentation deck on institutional Capital Markets Outlook (quarterly)
Update the Alternatives Platform deck (quarterly)
What We’re Looking For:
The ideal candidate should have:
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in communications, finance, business management or marketing, with academic excellence
Preferably two to three years of financial services experience in a professional capacity, focused primarily on investments, marketing, and business development
Point of view and interest in designing digital marketing tools including: emails, web and social media
Eager to master and make use of new technologies
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the courage and conviction to thoughtfully assert ideas to a broad audience of internal stakeholders at varying levels of seniority
Proactive and able to drive projects both independently and as part of a team
A desire to learn about the industry and AB’s investment strategies
Self-motivation/self-starter who shares ideas and connects disparate information to create cohesive messaging
Strong time management and organizational skills
Deadline-driven, with the ability to be flexible and reassess priorities based on changing needs
Collaborative and open to other viewpoints
Required Skills:
Proficiency in PowerPoint, Word and Excel
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical skills
Highly detail-oriented and organized
Proficient in project planning on both short-term and long-term initiatives

In accordance with applicable law, the minimum and maximum base annual salary for this role is as follows:
Base Salary Range: $65,000 to $80,000
Actual base salaries may vary based on factors including but not limited to education, training, experience, past performance, and other job-related factors. Base salary is just one component of total compensation at AB, which may include, depending on eligibility, commissions, year-end incentive compensation, short- and long-term incentives and Department-specific awards.
