OVERVIEW:

The Global Color Manager drives the color office and its function through structure, process and procedure that will ensure exceptional color quality & customer service for all brands.  Ensures the color team meets all goals for accuracy and speed for: lab dips, handlooms, strike offs & bulk production. Ensure color continuity and contributes to global initiatives including piloting new technology & processes.  Evaluates all color submits for programs and communicate results to business partners and suppliers while ensuring goals are being met. Responsible for the contract of the calibration and maintenance services of the color equipment.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Manage & evaluates all color submits for programs and communicate results to business partners and suppliers; Ensuring color consistency and goals are being met. Collaborates with designers on print/patterns and specialized fabrications to ensure their vision is executed

40%

Leads the color team in contributing to global initiatives including piloting new technology & processes. Key intermediary between design and production for all color issues from product concept to delivery to ensure the product meets the needs of the market place.

Mentors and develops the skills of the Color Team to ensure consistency of color across all classifications and brands. Ensures the color team meets all goals for accuracy and speed for: lab dips, handlooms, strike offs & bulk production.  Daily communication with suppliers and Asia office.

Update global color evaluation procedures & policies as needed to incorporate new technology, change in business needs, supplier turnover.  Manages the DSG Color Manual, submission forms and internal process documents to ensure all documentation aligns with the department’s objectives. Manages the on-boarding of external suppliers and  internal employees on color process.

Partners with designers to create the seasonal color palette and proactively identifies any potential color match limitations as well as potential issues on color combos within the garments. Coordinates the customized polyester standards with the designated color service provider. (5%)
