THE ROLE

As a year-round Mechanical Engineering (FEA) Intern, you will play a key role by assisting engineers with multiple tasks involving the Finite Element Analysis engineering functions on the Product Development – Modeling and Simulation team.

YOUR IMPACT

As a Mechanical Engineering (FEA) Intern your experience may include:

  • Working with engineers to ensure the appropriate engineering analysis is performed throughout the design/development process
  • Prepare technical reports summarizing activities and recommendations
  • Assist with multiple projects while maintaining schedules
  • Participate actively in the problem-solving process
  • Learn additional PC and workstation software to support the engineering analysis function
  • Assist in the design or modification of structural components
  • Partner with engineers/designers to gather data and define requirements for analysis
  • Assist with process improvements to enhance analysis techniques within the department.

WHAT YOU NEED

  • Student in a working towards a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline for the entire duration of the internship.
  • Willing to travel to Madison, WI or Oshkosh, WI for the duration of the year-round internship.
