Your role and responsibilities

  • Offers service technical advice and solutions on inquiries from customers/channels/Sales Specialists about ABB products/systems/applications, mainly for upgrade and retrofit solutions.
  • Take part in technical promotion meetings, prepare and deliver service technical presentations and demonstrations for customers based on customer requirements.
  • Supports the Sales organization/customers in determining the most technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions and in the preparation of demanding offers.
  • Cooperate with AE and PE others functions for optimized solutions and service delivery with high quality.
  • Take part in on site instructions after sales if necessary;
  • Shares best practices and successful cases.
  • Team work and sharing for for successful cases and lessons learned.
  • Defines cost for the proposed solution and communicates to the Sales organization.
  • Provides technical support to the Sales team during technical meetings, product presentations, and negotiations with customers and offers product/ solution/service-related training.
  • Prepares/supports the preparation of technical/commercial offers based on customer specification requirements, business unit, and Sales organization directives.
  • Ensures technical and financial aspects of offers, including price and trading conditions, are appropriate.
  • Provides information for the risk review process in accordance with ABB policy and participates in the risk review assessment as required.
  • Analyzes customer needs and competitor offers by leveraging general market information and insights provided by the Sales organization.
  • Analyzes lost proposals, identifies the potential cause, and recommends future actions in cooperation with the Sales/ business unit to achieve improved results.

  • 针对客户、渠道及销售有关ABB传动产品、系统及应用的技术需求,协助销售,提供最优的服务解决方案,主要针对升级改造方案;
  • 针对服务方案,参与技术交流,为用户准备和进行技术讲解与演示,推进服务方案;
  • 在技术会议、产品介绍及与客户谈判期间,为销售团队提供技术支持,并提供产品/解决方案/服务相关培训;
  • 跨部门合作(如AE PE PM等),确保服务产品的高质量交付;
  • 如有必要需参加项目执行中的现场指导;
  • 制作和分享成功案例;
  • 团队合作,内部分享,包括经验教训;


Qualifications for the role

  • Bachelor's degree or above
  • More than 3 years of pre-sales technical support or on-site technical service experience in industrial control products, familiar with communication between drives and overriding systems, better with PLC coding experience
  • Better have experience in heavy industry (Metals, P&P, Minning, Chemical, Power, Marine etc)
  • Deep understanding of frequency converter products
  • Fluent in English reading and writing, able to communicate orally

  • 本科及以上学历

  • 深入理解变频器产品,熟悉变频器和上位机的多种通讯,有PLC编程经验优先; 熟悉重工行业优先(冶金/造纸/矿山/化工/电力/船舶等)
  • 英语读写流利,具备口语沟通能力
