Job Description

The Bose Finance Navigation team is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support our Global Consumer Sales businesses.  The successful candidate will be an intellectually curious and self-motivated change agent with a bias for action.  We are looking for an individual interested in applying their skills in a fast-paced, dynamic global business environment.  This role will support the Global Consumer Sales (GCS) Senior Finance & Business Advisor responsible for Global Consumer Distributors (GCD) and GCS FP&A.  This is a hybrid role, with the expectation of working 3 days in the office and from home for the remainder of the work week. 

Specific responsibilities

  • Review financials for month-end close across the GCS channels to ensure a deep understanding of the P&L.  Support the regions in P&L analysis through monthly reviews and standard analysis of variances to plan.  Prepare journal entries for accruals as needed. 
  • Consolidate financials and/or analysis across regions and support any ad hoc requests related to total GCS sales, discounts, margin, or operating expenses.
  • Provide finance navigational support for the Global Consumer Distributors (GCD) team which consists of 7 different regions across the globe.  Includes becoming a subject matter expert across multiple regions.  Responsibilities cover developing and understanding detailed plans for sales, discounts, and operating expenses and modeling financial implications of pricing, promotions, and investment opportunities.
  • Work cross-functionally across Demand Planning, Product & Marketing, and Sales Operations to identify risks and opportunities to drive the business with confidence. 
  • Support the quarterly financial forecast process through partnering with GCD leadership and Demand Planning to understand key assumptions and align on the sales forecast.  Partner with the business to understand detailed assumptions on discounts and operating expenses to enable an accurate forward-looking view of the P&L.  This also includes supporting the annual operating plan (budget) process to develop bottoms-up financials for the next year.   
  • Work with the GCS Business Navigation team to drive performance improvements in the businesses supported & within the team.
  • Perform ad hoc projects & standard work as required by the businesses.

  • Ability to turn data into insight which can inform sound business decisions.
  • Strong interpersonal & communication skills with the ability to work effectively across a global organization.
  • Proven ability to partner with non-financial colleagues to drive business results.
  • Curiosity about how each of the supported functions run currently and ability to influence change. 
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, SAP, Planful Forecasting, Power BI & Business Intelligence experience a plus.

Education and Experience:

BS in Accounting, Finance or Business Management

4+ years of experience
