Within the Disneyland Resort, the Global Engineering & Technology (GE&T) Division program is specially crafted to develop you professionally, increase your practical knowledge in your area of technical expertise, while also completing valuable work for the Resort. You will have a wide range of opportunities to assist and provide key data to GE&T Engineers on various types of projects including, but not limited to, Attractions, Maintenance, Show and Entertainment. It may even serve as a springboard in launching a successful career. The approximate dates of this internship are January 2025 to June 2025. This is a full-time position, and interns must be fully available for the duration of the internship.

What You Will Do

  • Drafting, onsite as-built documentation, design coordination with outside design consultants, field data collection and testing, and recommending corrective actions (including justification).
  • Developing Attraction requirements and design out opportunities and condition assessments.
  • Must demonstrate a solid understanding of Solidworks and/or AutoCAD.
  • Sustaining Engineering tasks including downtime response and small attraction improvement efforts.
  • Close-out documentation for a variety of tasks ranging in scope from minor design changes to implementing new Attractions.
  • Comply with all applicable company, state, and Federal legal codes, policies, and regulation.
  • Provide timely, clear, concise communication to management, customers, partners, and team members about work status and impact to Resort availability.
  • Using appropriate communication means and documentation to inform customers, partners, and support groups.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Demonstrated/proven strong leadership, technical and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, SolidWorks and Matlab.
  • Valid US driver’s license.
  • Availability to work various shifts commensurate with project requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior related work experience is desired, including co-op/intern programs with a focus on engineering materials, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, control, or design.
  • Previous Theme Park work experience.

Required Education

Junior, Senior or Graduate student currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree or Post Graduate degree at an accredited 4-year College or University studying Mechanical Engineering.

Preferred Education

Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (Note: Please, no rounding) as shown on a transcript.

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information

  • Must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within six months OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.
  • Must possess unrestricted work authorization.

The pay rate for this internship as an undergraduate student in CA is $30.00/hr. The pay rate for this internship as a graduate student is $35.00/hr.
