As a Primary Support Professional, you will collaborate closely with our Program Coordinator to implement and oversee Individual Support Plans (ISPs) for our clients. Your role will involve coordinating daily activities, providing personal care, and creating a safe and nurturing environment. We're looking for compassionate, detail-oriented individuals with strong communication skills and a genuine desire to help others.

In this role, you'll be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations in our residential homes, ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained. You'll train and support other staff members, manage documentation, and play a crucial role in maintaining the health, safety, and well-being of our clients. Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and oversee Individual Support Plans (ISPs) for clients in residential settings
  • Train staff on clients' medical needs, personal preferences, and compliance requirements
  • Ensure proper medication management and communication of potential side effects
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including daily notes, goals, and health tracking
  • Coordinate and attend client medical appointments
  • Conduct regular home inspections to ensure health, safety, and cleanliness standards
  • Manage emergency preparedness and safety protocols
  • Schedule and coordinate staff coverage for the residential facility
  • Oversee client finances and maintain accurate financial records
  • Collaborate with the Program Coordinator on quality management initiatives
  • Participate in the development of positive behavioral support strategies
  • Conduct and document regular safety drills
  • Ensure staff compliance with special diets and adaptive equipment usage

Education and/or Experience Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • One year experience in the field of intellectual/developmental disabilities OR successful completion of training in Missouri Quality Outcomes approved by the Division of DD regional office

Additional Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Proficiency in writing routine reports and correspondence
  • Basic math skills for managing client finances
  • Compassionate and patient demeanor
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physical ability to perform job duties, including lifting up to 10 pounds occasionally
  • Must successfully complete a background check, including criminal record, driving record, abuse/neglect check, and fingerprint check
  • Commitment to ongoing training and professional development
