Compensation Overview

The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

Salary Range

$102,600.00 - $169,400.00

What Is the Opportunity?

CSS Claim Account Executives (CAE) team collaborates with Claim management, underwriting, marketing, and business insurance partners to deliver our claim value proposition and create a customized claim service program to meet the unique needs of prospective and existing customers. As a Claim Account Executive, you will be the customer's claim liaison, leveraging your skills in relationship building, analytical, consultative, sales/marketing, and problem-solving to provide exceptional service and achieve optimal outcomes for claims. You will assist in developing highly effective relationships with customers, distribution resources and are responsible for meeting organizational financial objectives including new business and retention. Manage and facilitate claim reviews and Stewardships to ensure it is a positive experience and meeting the needs of our customers, agents, brokers and claim professionals. Occasional travel may be required.

What Will You Do?

  • Manage claim programs for a portfolio of business insurance customers for our CSS book of business including fronted and self-insured programs.
  • Leverage multi-line claim product/service knowledge and expertise to effectively market services to agents, brokers, and customers.
  • Consult with internal services partners to customize a sales strategy for a prospective customer based on needs, service specifications and industry/exposure information.
  • Coordinate and manage RFP process along with business partners and product.
  • Deliver clear and compelling sales presentations that highlight Travelers CSS Claim Services and our differentiators to influence buying decisions.
  • Design and implement onboarding of new customers to ensure an effective and seamless transition of new claim and inventory assumptions, working within the parameters of Travelers CSS Claim services.
  • Utilize customer, industry, and peer loss data to assess, analyze, interpret, and consult with customers on their loss experience by identifying favorable and adverse trends that influence outcomes.
  • Collaborate with internal business partners in Underwriting/Sales and Marketing to understand their goals and objectives regarding new business and retention goals and align focus to enhance and support their objectives.
  • Educate and train internal business partners, agents, and brokers on Travelers CSS Claim services and support claim partners with customer service training and education.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of marketing, underwriting, and account management processes; knowledge of multi-line is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of underwriting products, financials, objectives, and service requirements.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to prepare for and present at meetings.
  • Understanding of business objectives with the ability to recognize and act on opportunities to achieve financial results.
  • Strong relationship building and problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly identify customer needs and take appropriate action.

What is a Must Have?

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Three years of Claim experience.
  • Three years of Insurance industry experience.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
