Job Description Summary:

The Tax & Accounting business of Thomson Reuters is currently seeking a talented, motivated Manager, Software Development to lead a high performing cross-functional software engineering team that provides enterprise software services to numerous products across the organization. The team consists of in-house and outsourced technologists that span the globe. You will be responsible for ensuring your team collaborates with product owners and other technology teams to deliver the portfolio at scale in an agile environment.

About the Role 

In this opportunity as Manager, Software Development, you will: 

  • Provide leadership and direction to team members, including project assignments and performance management.

  • Adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic business environment.

  • Develop talent to ensure employee engagement and high performance.

  • Manage the interviewing, hiring, and training processes for new team members.

  • Drive continuous process improvement and best practices.

  • Develop, monitor, and analyze key metrics.

  • Communicate complex issues and solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Set and implement departmental goals that align with company values.

  • Collaborate with technical leaders to set the team's technical and architectural direction.

  • Ensure project stability and communicate critical issues while fostering a culture of continuous learning and compliance with standards.

About You: 
You're a fit for the role of Manager if your background includes: 

  • 8+ Years of experience in software development with 5+ years of experience in a leadership role. 

  • Hands on experience in C# .Net development.

  • Experience with object-oriented software engineering in an enterprise agile environment.

  • Proven ability to set direction and inspire team members to successfully deliver on commitments.

  • Proven track record of success driving projects and initiatives despite ambiguity. 

  • Strong customer service, problem-solving, organizational, and conflict management skills. 

  • Excellent critical thinking, communication, presentation, documentation, troubleshooting, and collaboration skills. 

  • Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Proven ability to learn new technologies quickly. 

  • A management style that is collaborative and results oriented. 

  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and motivated by complex technical and business challenges.

  • Tax and accounting domain experience will be and added advantage
