Job Description

This UX Design Internship offers you the opportunity to work with a highly collaborative team, leveraging human-centered design principles and user-research methodologies to create and maintain innovative design solutions to support Public Safety employees in their daily challenges.

As an intern designer for Customer Web Portal team, you will:

• Work closely with the team of developers and product owner to support the creation of a consistent user experience across several products from our portfolio, including the development of the internal design system.

• Use design thinking to understand people's needs, looking holistically at customer interactions, and constantly iterate the user journey forward.

What we are looking for:

• Passion for learning new skills and broadening design knowledge

• Self-starter with a strong desire for team collaboration

• Motivation for taking on complex design challenges

• Ability to tell a compelling story visually and verbally with a clear point of view

Basic Requirements

• Basic visual skills and understanding of design principles

• Good communication skills, verbal and written English

• Experience working in Figma software

• Understanding of the process of designing components and working with Figma libraries

• Must provide a link to a portfolio or digital examples of work when applying (university projects, freelance projects - whatever can show us your thought process and UI skills)

• Minimum availability: part-time 3/5
