What You’ll Do :

  • Deliver client‑centred nursing care across preventive health, primary care, and specialty clinic services

  • Provide immunization education and administration, including routine, travel, and specialty vaccines

  • Perform clinical assessments and nursing procedures within scope, supporting physicians and multidisciplinary teams

  • Conduct diagnostic testing such as ECGs, ABI testing, and audio‑visual‑pulmonary screening

  • Administer therapeutic and maintenance injections and provide related client education

  • Build strong, therapeutic nurse–client relationships, fostering trust and a positive care experience

  • Contribute to a smooth and efficient clinic flow, supporting high‑quality service delivery

  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with professional and privacy standards

What You’ll Need :

  • Registered Nurse in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario

  • Minimum 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in a primary care or ambulatory setting

  • A strong understanding of publicly funded immunization schedules and travel vaccines is an asset

  • Current BLS and CPR certification

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a client‑centred approach to care

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, multidisciplinary environment

  • Experience in travel health, occupational health, or pediatric nursing is an asset

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Teams, Outlook and Word

  • Experience with Accuro Electronic Medical Record system is an asset

This is a permanent, casual position based at our Oakville location (2275 Upper Middle Road East). The role is scheduled primarily on Mondays and Saturdays, with the possibility of additional shifts on other days as operational needs require. Candidates must be available to work a minimum of 2 shifts per month.

Position Pay Range:

Pay is determined based on your RN registration date.

  • 1 year: $35.47

  • 2 years: $36.54

  • 3 years: $38.39

  • 4 years: $39.98

  • 5 years: $41.94

  • 6 years: $43.87

  • 7 years: $47.08

  • 8+ years: $50.85

The above figures are an hourly rate. All amounts are in CAD.

 

Pay will be determined based on an analysis of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications within our nursing grid. Medcan's compensation ranges are determined by a combination of required qualifications and skills, market value, and internal equity. The above range pertains solely to the base compensation and is not inclusive of additional compensation details such as perks, benefits, and potential bonuses or incentives.
