POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for performing all accounting related activities, including maintaining and interpreting financial records to make sure that the company’s financial practices comply with regulations and compliance requirements.  This position is also responsible for preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports required by the company and parent companies.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports required by the company and its parent companies.

  • Managing budgeting and forecasting activities for P & L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, Rolling Forecast, Transfer Pricing, etc.

  • Conduct reconciliations, administer account payables/receivables

  • Assist with audits and tax fillings.

  • Process invoices and payments and ensures all appropriate approvals are met.

  • Process check request for employee reimbursements, expense reports, or other approved requests

  • Print Accounts Payable (A/P) checks and prepares for mailing.

  • Match and file A/P checks with pay vouchers and invoices and maintains filing system

  • Assist with researching and/or contacting Customers regarding past due invoices.

  • Process Returned Materials invoices.

  • Checks Sales invoices for accuracy

  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing

  • Assist in keying and preparing journal entries

  • Assist with cash, purchasing and/or customer service duties as needed.

  • Other related duties as necessary for business operations.

EDUCATION, LICENSES, AND/OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree (licenciado) and 3-5 years of experience is required.

EXPERIENCE AND TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

  • 2 years of experience in customer service and international operations (preferred in automotive industry, but not required)

  • Experience and knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook

  • International trade (import/export) experience preferred but not required

SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS

  • Must read, write, and speak English fluently

  • Must have excellent typing skills

  • Must have ability to maintain confidential information

  • Must have ability to learn various accounting related software programs

  • Must have the ability to work independently

  • Must be detail-oriented

  • Must have effective time management

  • Must be able to operate computers and basic office equipment
