Job Description:

Radiation Oncology Center Manager

Intermountain Health | Cancer Service Line
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM (meetings may occur outside of these hours)
Primary Location: Utah Valley Hospital (with accountability for additional sites including American Fork, Park City (opening this summer), and Saratoga Springs (opening this fall))

Why this role matters

Focusing on Intermountain’s Fundamentals of Care, the Radiation Oncology Center Manager leads day-to-day operations across assigned radiation centers to ensure exceptional patient experiences, safe clinical delivery, and high-value specialty care. You’ll partner closely with Service Line Leadership, providers, and caregivers to drive operational excellence, quality improvement, and service line growth—while stewarding budgets and building an engaged, high-performing team.

What you’ll do

  • Operational & Strategic Leadership: Provide consistent operational leadership across geographically aligned radiation oncology sites; drive service line development and achievement of Cancer Service Line goals.
  • Financial Management: Develop, propose, and manage operational and capital budgets; oversee accounts payable, inventory control, purchasing, and responsible facility asset management; maintain strong financial literacy in ambulatory care trends.
  • People Leadership: Ensure effective staffing and scheduling; oversee payroll accuracy and approvals; lead hiring, onboarding, training, rounding, recognition, and engagement efforts; foster a positive, accountable culture.
  • Quality, Safety & Patient Experience: Lead continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean/CQI/TQM); use patient feedback and satisfaction metrics to elevate service and outcomes; support efficient patient flow and service recovery.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure compliance with federal/state regulations and accrediting bodies; maintain documentation; monitor equipment maintenance; uphold HIPAA and privacy practices and support audits.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate with the System Leader for Radiation Oncology, geographically linked Medical Oncology Manager, Infusion/Chemotherapy leadership, Clinical Programs, local hospital/clinic leadership, SelectHealth, and other key stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5 years of progressively responsible leadership experience in radiation oncology
  • Demonstrated experience in budget development and management
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration or Health Administration

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience. 

$50.97 - $78.69
