Role Summary:
The Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) manager is responsible for annual budgeting, forecasting and analysis of the company. This role involves close collaboration with various departments to ensure financial goals are met and to provide strategic insights to support decision-making. FP&A manager should also be technically capable of enabling self service dashboards for management reporting using tools such as power BI. This is a high visibility role with reports published to management and senior leadership.
Roles and Responsibility:
1. Financial Planning and Budgeting:
- Lead the annual budgeting process, including the development of detailed financial models.
- Work with department heads to gather budget inputs and align them with overall company objectives.
2. Forecasting:
- Develop and maintain financial forecasts, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow projections.
- Regularly update forecasts based on actual performance and changing business conditions.
3. Financial Analysis:
- Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare and present financial reports and dashboards for senior management.
4. Strategic Planning:
- Support strategic initiatives by providing financial insights and analysis.
- Participate in long-term planning and scenario analysis to support business growth and investment decisions.
5. Performance Management:
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track business performance.
- Provide actionable recommendations to improve financial performance.
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with other departments (e.g., Sales, Operations, other functions) to gather necessary data and provide financial support.
- Facilitate communication and alignment between finance and other functions.
7. Systems and Tools:
- Key member of implementation and maintenance of financial planning and analysis tools.
- Hands on experience in creating and using power BI / similar visual reporting tools
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy in all financial reporting systems.
