Job Summary
The Respiratory Therapy Manager at the Community Hospital is responsible for providing leadership and oversight to the respiratory care department. This position ensures the delivery of high-quality patient services, maintains adherence to regulatory standards, and fosters the professional development of respiratory therapy staff. The manager plays a critical role in supporting the hospital’s mission to offer accessible and compassionate care to the local community.

Education
Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study required and Master's Degree Related Field of Study preferred

Licenses and Credentials
Basic Life Support [BLS Certification]
Registered Respiratory Therapist [RRT] - The National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
Respiratory Therapist [Massachusetts License] - Massachusetts Board of Respiratory Care
Respiratory Care Practitioner [State License] - preferred
Experience
Experience working as a respiratory therapist 3-5 years required and Experience in a supervisory or management role 1-2 years required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology of the respiratory system.
- Knowledge of respiratory therapy techniques and equipment.
- Proficiency in performing basic respiratory care interventions such as oxygen therapy and airway management.
- Ability to perform patient assessments and monitor patient progress.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot equipment and patient issues.
- Ability to adapt in changing situations and respond appropriately in emergency situations.
