Job Summary:

The Business Development Representative (BDR) specializes in identifying, sourcing, and discovering new lead opportunities that could benefit from Covenir services. As the first line of contact, they will be responsible for understanding the needs and challenges of the potential customer, speaking to the functionality and value of our services, and facilitating discovery conversations with our Sales team. This role is about generating a significant number of opportunities to develop the sales funnel. The BDR will need to find innovative and creative ways to connect with our target customers and further develop brand awareness. In this role the BDR would build contacts and relationships in the pursuit of creating opportunities and assist in closing them.

Job Description:

The BDR will:

  • Participate as a member of the Covenir sales team to develop a strategy to drive new business opportunities that support the growth goals of the company
  • Overachieve on assigned quarterly and annual sales targets
  • Make outbound prospecting calls within the daily KPI expectations to generate introductory meetings for the Covenir sales team
  • Research prospective leads within target companies and conduct campaigns to turn them into scheduled meetings
  • Maintains and expands relationships with named and new logo customers
  • Drive and achieve prospecting and sales meeting quotas
  • Complete and present presentations that speak to the program results and findings
  • Completes strategic customer account management plans that meet company standards
  • Maintain leads and all BDR activities within CRM according to outlined processes
  • Engages with Customer Success Managers, and Operations Managers to assure a full understanding of our service offerings to optimize customer conversations
  • Responds in CAT events for FNOL intake, which may include night and/or weekend work
  • Assist the sales team in developing and transitioning opportunities through the sales process to contract execution
  • Development solutions and pricing models that meet clients’ needs
  • Support other functional areas and leaders as necessary to assure optimal company results        

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Min 2 years of experience in a business development/lead generation role
  • Proven experience in a B2B capacity
  • Ability to exceed prospecting target quotas
  • Comfortable using a CRM system – preferably Salesforce
  • In-depth working knowledge of appropriate insurance operations
  • Extensive experience with cold calling and generating funnel for sales teams
  • Ability to manage a pipeline of leads
  • Extensive cold calling experience and can deal with rejection
  • Team player, solid work ethic and have a 'do whatever it takes" attitude
  • Solid outbound focus and experience coupled with a hunter mindset
  • Consistently exceeds 98% on all production and quality metrics and KPIs
  • Directly contributes to process improvements at the organization, team, and individual level
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills; ability to reason logically and provide solutions  
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills 
  • Ability to build consensus and relationships among managers, partners, employees, and clients
  • Detail oriented with strong multitasking skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, and Word)
  • Fluent Bilingual English/Spanish preferred, but not required
