What you'll do...

The Manager, Learning & Development will be a part of the Customer Success Enablement team within Business Enablement who is central to the continued growth and success of Walmart Data Ventures. This role is a highly cross-functional individual contributor position that will manage multiple product knowledge workstreams and will have exposure across Product, Program, Engineering, Marketing & Communications teams.  The ideal candidate will have a strong background in, instructional design, course/curriculum development, adult learning, eLearning, product training, process improvement, and project management. This role requires an exceptional individual who is intellectually curious, enthusiastic, has a high sense of urgency, detail-oriented, relationship-driven, highly adaptable and a self-starter with a passion for end-user experience.

The Walmart Data Ventures team exists to unlock the full value of Walmart’s data by developing and productizing B2B data initiatives that empower merchants and suppliers to make better, faster decisions for the business.  As part of this transformation, we’re seeking entrepreneurial individuals to help drive data productization from concept to deployment. 

Responsibilities include…

  • Developing and maintaining complex training programs, performance support tools, and resources by conducting research on learning needs, learning environments, knowledge gaps, and behavioral changes; designing and developing a suite of blended learning options; and ensuring alignment with technology and business support infrastructure
  • Managing learning content by auditing existing learning materials; creating, reviewing, and editing final drafts; adapting content to changing learner needs; collaborating with subject matter experts; determining operating parameters; aligning content with business goals and initiatives; maintaining consistency through quality control measures; and providing project status updates to stakeholders
  • Implementing training development standards and governance by adhering to governance processes for content development and maintenance; communicating standardized training processes to key business partners in order to ensure operational continuity; identifying opportunities to replicate best practices and processes; making recommendations for implementation and delivery approaches; providing process definition and management to the organization; ensuring leadership and implementation teams have necessary materials; and managing the internal control assessment and remediation approach
  • Managing program effectiveness by measuring and analyzing performance; identifying program inconsistencies and deficiencies
  • Reporting inconsistencies and deficiencies to leadership; working with peers and cross-functional teams to resolve inconsistencies and deficiencies in learning; and increasing work productivity and reducing overall cost
  • Creating and overseeing the learning environment by researching industry techniques that increase effectiveness; developing best practice approaches; delivering training materials; developing and delivering train-the-trainer programs; and collaborating with internal customers, while using a content management system
  • Coordinating, completing, and overseeing job-related activities and assignments by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders; supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs; communicating goals and objectives; identifying and addressing improvement opportunities; and demonstrating adaptability and promoting continuous learning
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity

  • You have a background in building training content within AEM (Adobe Experience Manager)
  • You have experience in Instructional Design and Content Writing
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for internal and external communication
  • You are an expert in Project Management and can balance multiple workstreams
  • Have experience in developing and executing training collateral, working on cross-functional initiatives 
  • You are an expert at bringing text to life using graphic design skills and imagery  or interactive learning tools to make the content more “sticky” for the learner
  • You have the ability to context switch between learning system-level thinking and attention to minute details
  • Are a team player who is a self-starter and enjoys a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
  • Have experience working in cross-collaborative environments, working and influencing across multiple teams at the same time
  • Have previous experience working in learning and development
  • Are highly adaptable with demonstrated ability to prioritize work and flex where needed if and when priorities suddenly shift
  • Are trust based in your partnership with internal and external teams and are a strong relationship builder
  • Have customer-centered/end-user mindset focused on delighting our customers
  • You thrive in a fast past paced environment with constant change

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00-$155,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...
