The Opportunity       
  

Are you a skilled Forensic Accountant looking to make a significant impact? Join Resolution Life, where you’ll provide technical financial advice and support to our claims team. Utilise your investigative and analytical skills to understand our customers’ financial circumstances, conduct detailed financial analyses, distinguish between personal exertion and passive income, and calculate pre-disability and partial disability income. You’ll also gather comprehensive financial information, assess corporate structures, and perform ASIC searches to compile relevant data.
 

In this role, you’ll deliver detailed financial reports, offer real-time support and advice on tax and accounting issues, and coach the claims team on financial assessments and benefit calculations. Your ability to interpret complex financial data, identify trends and risks, and communicate technical information clearly to non-technical audiences will be crucial.
 

We are looking for candidates who are CA/CPA qualified or working towards qualification, with strong leadership skills and the ability to coach and develop peers. If you have a knack for interpreting and analysing financial data and a passion for helping others, we want to hear from you!
 

This role offers a full-time permanent contract and embraces flexible working arrangements. You'll have the freedom to work remotely, with occasional office attendance required on an ad hoc basis, ensuring a harmonious balance between business needs and personal flexibility.
 

Your Story

  • Conduct detailed financial analysis of individual customer circumstances for the purposes of life insurance products.

  • Distinguish the customers personal exertion income from “passive” or non-personal exertion income.

  • Calculate the customers pre-disability and partial disability income.

  • Reconcile benefits paid to the customer.

  • Gather factual information on the customer circumstances, including assessment of corporate structures, ASIC searches and all relevant financial information.

  • Provide detailed financial reports to the claims teams to effectively communicate assessments and recommendations.

  • Provide real time support to the claims team, including advice on tax and accounting issues specific to claims, and coaching on financial assessment and benefit calculations.
     

Skills & Experience
 

You will be CA/CPA qualified, or working towards qualification, and be able to demonstrate:

  • Ability to interpret and analyse financial data to determine issues, trends, and emerging risks.

  • Ability to interpret complex accounting, tax and financial issues including corporate structures.

  • Ability to communicate technical financial information clearly, concisely, and effectively to non-technical audiences.

  • Strong leadership capabilities and the ability to coach and develop peers.

  • Proven track record of conveying intricate financial concepts in a clear and concise manner to diverse audiences, ensuring clarity and fostering effective communication.
