The Lidar department of the Valeo R&D Center in Prague is developing the flagship among our sensors: the Valeo SCALA® lidar is the first and still the only mass-produced automotive laser sensor on the market. It can detect obstacles on the road up to a distance of 200 meters and classify them in all weather conditions. It is used by carmakers for their most advanced models such as the Mercedes S-Class, Audi A8 or Honda Legend. Up to 30% of new premium vehicles are to reach level 3 of autonomous driving by 2030, and to do so, they will have to be equipped with lidar technology. We develop hardware, software, optics, mechanical construction, execute system testing and industrialization of this product.

We are looking for a SYSTEM VALIDATION TECHNICAL PROJECT MANAGER with responsibility for system testing and validation, which is a key part of our development process. Our products are cutting-edge automotive sensors with unparalleled levels of performance and are used for driving automation or to increase safety on the roads. Both of those tasks are complex and critical and therefore there is a significant need for system testing in various real world and synthetic environments and situations.

YOUR CHALLENGES?

  • Manage the Validation and Testing teams
  • Responsible to deploy and implement the “state of the art” standards, processes, methods & tools
  • Responsible to define the validation strategy and validation plan
  • Plan the needed activities and ensure the required resources
  • Manage the execution of system validation and testing within the projects
  • Manage the project validation team (5+ persons) including the toolchain team (5+ persons)
  • Monitor team progress
  • Ensure proper reporting to hierarchical manager and inside the project
  • Participate to the improvement of the System Validation and Testing standards, process, methods & tools
  • Check / audit the implementation of the standards

LET'S TALK ABOUT YOU...

  • Finished university-level education in the area of Robotics, Computer, Electronic Science, Electronic Engineering, System Engineering or similar field
  • Experience with management of validation tasks
  • Experience with leading a team
  • Experience with testing / validation of electrical product
  • Good level of English to communicate within international teams
  • Proactive, quality oriented management attitude and team spirit
  • Experience with formal (quality-controlled) product development process
