As Dusty Robotics’ VP of Software Engineering, you will be leading our team of talented software engineers in building a diverse set of products aimed at delivering a full end-to-end BIM to field workflow. Our products have technology ranging from low level firmware and robotics software to user facing cloud and data systems.  They deliver a complete solution for communicating design information in CAD and office data systems to the crews building on site and for bringing site information back to the office.  You will own the engineering roadmap and work closely with our executive leadership team to execute on a product strategy that delivers a world class experience to our customers as they use our software throughout their business from the office to the field.

Specifically, in this role you will get to:

  • Own the engineering roadmap and schedule; keep the team on track to meet product milestones
  • Work closely with the leadership team to shape the product roadmap and define product features
  • Mentor and lead a strong group of extremely talented engineers
  • Guide the team in make decisions that impact both product performance and customer experience
  • Work with customer success, marketing, sales, and other teams to shape successful product launches and roll outs
  • Work with and hear first hand from our customers who love our product and the new features we are developing
  • Leverage your network to grow our engineering team and build a strong culture

Requirements:

  • Experience leading and growing engineering teams across a wide variety of software tasks
  • Experience in multiple software disciplines such as full stack, tablet, cloud, networking, data analytics, firmware, and robotics
  • A product mindset and a strong interest in understanding our customers and delivering a world class product experience
  • Proven track record of leading and delivering complex projects
  • High level of technical credibility with prior engineering teams
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • High EQ and self-awareness
