Position Summary...

The Catalog organization powers Walmart’s digital and in-store item ecosystem — ensuring data accuracy, efficiency, and scalability across millions of SKUs. Our mission is to simplify and accelerate Catalog operations through automation, data-driven insights, and strategic innovation.

As the Senior Manager, Automation & Analytics, you will lead automation and analytics initiatives that eliminate manual processes, improve data quality, and enhance operational efficiency. You will work cross-functionally across business, engineering, and product teams to deliver measurable impact.
Familiarity with Walmart’s Catalog systems, item setup workflows, and product data structures will accelerate success in this role.

You will also leverage Walmart internal technologies such as Code Puppy, an AI coding assistant, along with industry-leading tools like GitHub Copilot, and Google Gemini Code Assist to accelerate development, debugging, and automation.

What you'll do...

Automation Strategy & Delivery
  • Identify, evaluate, and lead automation initiatives that reduce manual workload and optimize Catalog operations
  • Independently manage full project lifecycles: scoping, development, testing, deployment, and business impact measurement
  • Quantify efficiency gains, time savings, and operational improvements from delivered solutions
Data Analytics & Technical Execution
  • Build automated data workflows and analytics tools using Python, SQL, Dataiku, Power BI, and Tableau
  • Use Code Puppy and comparable AI-assisted tools (GitHub Copilot, CodeWhisperer, Gemini Code Assist) to accelerate development, code modification, debugging, and testing
  • Develop Python-based automation solutions integrating APIs, vector databases, RAG pipelines, and large-language-model capabilities
  • Ensure compliance with Walmart’s data governance and security standards
Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Partner with Catalog Operations, Engineering, and Product teams to translate business needs into technical workflows
  • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to leadership and non-technical stakeholders
  • Promote a culture of experimentation, data-driven thinking, and AI-enhanced automation

  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Analytics, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in automation, analytics, or process optimization roles.
  • Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and dashboarding tools (Power BI, Tableau).
  • Experience with AI-assisted coding tools (Code Puppy, GitHub Copilot, Amazon CodeWhisperer, Gemini Code Assist).
  • Experience building or integrating LLM-powered tools, AI agents, or autonomous workflows using Python, APIs, or agent frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience developing Agentic AI workflows (multi-agent orchestration, autonomous pipelines).
  • Experience with LLM integration, prompt engineering, vector databases (FAISS, Pinecone, Weaviate), and RAG architectures.
  • Familiarity with LangChain, AutoGen, CrewAI, or similar agent frameworks.
  • Experience with Dataiku for data integration, analytics, or ML pipelines.
  • Experience with Walmart Catalog systems, processes, and item setup workflows.
  • Certifications: PMP, Agile, or Lean Six Sigma.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $220,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
