Position Overview: 

The Head of MIT is responsible for leading and optimizing the operational processes that support the sales function across the organization, with ownership of local Market Intelligence team located in Noida. This strategic role drives efficiency, consistency, and excellence in sales support operations, ensuring the sales team has the tools, resources, and insights to meet global revenue goals.  Additionally, this role includes being the owner of Research 360 (R360), our proprietary online platform to store, document, access and visualize font use during the Account Research process performed by Monotype’s Market Intelligence Team. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Lead and manage the local Market Intelligence functions by providing direction, mentorship, coaching, and development for the local team to drive high-performance. 
  • Collaborate closely with the Business Analyst and Global Data teams to establish, monitor, and optimize SLAs, KPIs, and processes across the entire organization, ensuring these critical data points are effectively communicated to executive leadership.  
  • Collaborate with the Pre-Sales and MIT team to develop strategies that enhance the sales process and improve conversion rates. 
  • Partner with enablement to bridge the gap on backend processes so sales understand how the team operates and identifies sales opportunities.  
  • Partner with Finance and HR to identify and analyze key indicators necessary for strategic team expansion. 
  • Lead research automation initiatives, establishing QA teams to ensure data accuracy during early stages. 
  • Track SLA progress following research automation rollout and manage talent transition into compliance analyst teams. 
  • Oversee M&A data integration efforts across MIT, ensuring timely and accurate data delivery to the sales team upon deal closure. 
  • Utilize market intelligence to support sales TAM, territory planning, and strategic expansion efforts decision-making. 
  • Ensure the continuous flow of relevant market data to the sales team, helping them stay ahead of industry trends and competitive threats. 
  • Regularly engaged with sales leadership to align priorities and strategies. 
  • Serve as the goal owner for R360, the company’s proprietary data management tool, overseeing its use in research, enforcement, and sales processes. 
  • Develop the R360 product roadmap, ensuring it aligns with overall sales and business objectives. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate R360 effectively into existing workflows, maximizing its impact on sales and operational efficiency. 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred. 
  • 12+ years of experience in sales operations, sales support, pre-sales, or a related role, with at least 5+ years in a leadership position. 
  • Proven experience in leading global support teams, with experience managing support teams in India being an added plus.  
  • Proven track record of optimizing sales processes and driving operational efficiency in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Strong understanding of CRM systems, sales automation tools, and data analytics. 
  • Experience leading Pre-Sales/Sales Engineers and/or Market Intelligence teams is highly desirable. 
  • Systems program management expertise. 
  • Experience hiring and managing leaders in sales support roles 
  • Experience collaborating with Sales Enablement on training initiatives and metric tracking. 
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a focus on developing and mentoring talent. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to leverage data to drive decisions. 
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization. 
  • Experience working in a cross-functional role, collaborating with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Finance teams.
