Role Overview:

We currently are searching for a Solutions Engineer (SE). This is a Pre-Sales role, part of F5 Indonesia Sales, an organization that supports sales and promotes partner success. The primarily role of this position is to be part of the F5 team in growing the business by providing pre-sales support to our the account team and partners to help them become better at selling F5: articulating the F5 strategy, positioning the F5 value proposition, understanding how does our solutions fit into our partners’ and customers’ portfolio of products and services.

You will work with our Indonesia Sales Leadership to analyse our business, market, trends and define strategies. As such, you will need to establish and maintain trusted advisor relationships with key individual within our customers and partners, SI and Alliances providing them the right F5 outlook and vision for them to continue to develop the business with F5. This can be done through different means like presentations, product demonstrations, vision and assessment of potential application of F5 solutions within their portfolio of offers. This position assumes the lead in offer creation, architectural design, specifications, and maintenance of F5 company products and solutions.

What You’ll Do

  • Build, run & optimize our partner & customer enablement strategy
  • Create and manage technical enablement plans for partners & customers.
  • Articulate technical and business value of F5 Solutions against competitors.
  • Participate and deliver workshops and other demand generation activities.
  • Support pipeline development by participating in sales initiatives.
  • Review, Modernize, build, and run programs for new models (SIs, Digital, SaaS)
  • Participate in the development and support of content, e.g. presentations, use cases, etc. for customers, partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Assist our Sales Team in inserting F5 solutions in every possible reference architecture
  • Coordinate activities
  • Lead, animate and align with the F5 SEs resources across country on the best way to convince our partners to sell F5 technologies.
  • Animate the community of Pre Sales and engineers within our partners to position, articulate, architect, size, install and maintain F5 technologies to their customers.
  • Collect information from partners, f5 sales and SE team to help understand regional and theatre requirements, markets, trends and competition landscape.
  • Serve as a bridge between partners and F5 SE team to align the requirements to PD and PM, when appropriate. Provide visibility on SI market and feature requirements for solution creation
  • Responsible for upholding F5’s Business Code of Ethics and for promptly reporting violations of the Code or other company policies
  • Speak at conferences and F5 events such as industry events, workshops, road shows, partner and customer events from all industry sectors.
  • Contribute to press articles, interviews and promoting views on transformation of business through usage of technology.
  • Develop and maintain a high level of technical knowledge of F5 product set, the relevant industry, and sales aptitude.
  • Maintain knowledge and skills by attending appropriate training and conferences and pursuing self-study.

What You’ll Bring:

  • BS/BA or equivalent work experience.
  • 8+ years related industry experience and pre-sales expertise.
  • Experience working with network, security and/or web technologies.
  • Background in network planning, implementation, and operations is required.
  • Ability to develop DevOps/DevSecOps mentorship including training material, standard methodologies, reusable code, etc.
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, GitHub/GitLab, Artifactory, SonarQube, Docker, etc.
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, GCP, VMWare, OpenStack.
  • Experience with container orchestrators such as Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker Swarm.
  • Knowledge of application development languages like Python, Java, JavaScript.
  • Knowledge of OWASP principles (preferred, but not required).
  • Understanding of application security vulnerabilities, threats and controls, and web application firewall (preferred, but not required).
  • In-depth industry knowledge and understanding of F5 technologies, solutions and product offerings strongly preferred.
  • Advanced written and oral communication skills, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrate a strong technical aptitude to define customers issues and to propose solutions for customer needs and expectations
