This exciting opportunity allows you to work across various facilities based on staffing needs, utilizing your unique skills to provide exceptional patient care wherever you’re needed most.

Core Responsibilities:

Clinical Skills

  • Provide care to postpartum and newborn patients.

  • Apply the Nursing Process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation) to ensure individualized care based on evidence-based practice.

  • Use critical thinking to manage complex patient care situations.

  • Administer medications and perform necessary safety checks and sterile techniques.

  • Partner with patients and their families to achieve care goals through effective communication and education.

Quality and Patient Safety

  • Verify patient identity using two identifiers and ensure accurate charting.

  • Comply with all healthcare policies, regulations, and safety standards, including TJC Patient Safety Goals.

  • Complete required procedural checks and uphold organizational policies.

Job Responsibilities

  • Flexibility in hours to meet departmental needs.

  • Complete ongoing competency assessments and mandatory education.

  • Collaborate as part of a healthcare team to promote a positive work environment.

  • Mentor new nurses and support the development of a qualified workforce.

  • Maintain open communication with patients, families, and the healthcare team.

  • Ensure patient privacy and comfort during care.

Patient Education

  • Educate patients and families on care procedures and post-procedural home care.

Required Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or a Diploma from an accredited nursing program.

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Registered Nurse (single-state or multi-state compact) required.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in the relevant area.

Skills:

  • Proficient in English, both written and verbal.

  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and respond calmly to emergencies.

  • Excellent time management and critical thinking skills.
