Are you ready to make a difference? Join the WellStar Enterprise Support Team (WEST) as a RN in our Float Pool! This exciting opportunity allows you to work across various facilities based on staffing needs, utilizing your unique skills to provide exceptional patient care wherever you’re needed most.

Clinical Skills
Provide care to postpartum and newborn patients.
Apply the Nursing Process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation) to ensure individualized care based on evidence-based practice.
Use critical thinking to manage complex patient care situations.
Administer medications and perform necessary safety checks and sterile techniques.
Partner with patients and their families to achieve care goals through effective communication and education.
Quality and Patient Safety
Verify patient identity using two identifiers and ensure accurate charting.
Comply with all healthcare policies, regulations, and safety standards, including TJC Patient Safety Goals.
Complete required procedural checks and uphold organizational policies.
Job Responsibilities
Flexibility in hours to meet departmental needs.
Complete ongoing competency assessments and mandatory education.
Collaborate as part of a healthcare team to promote a positive work environment.
Mentor new nurses and support the development of a qualified workforce.
Maintain open communication with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
Ensure patient privacy and comfort during care.
Patient Education
Educate patients and families on care procedures and post-procedural home care.
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or a Diploma from an accredited nursing program.
Licenses and Certifications:
Registered Nurse (single-state or multi-state compact) required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in the relevant area.
Skills:
Proficient in English, both written and verbal.
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and respond calmly to emergencies.
Excellent time management and critical thinking skills.
