About The Position 

 
As a Prospective Student Officer, you will be one of the first points of contact for prospective domestic and international students, playing a key role in representing RMIT and inspiring future students to explore the opportunities available. As part of the Study@RMIT team, you will deliver exceptional customer service through inbound and outbound interactions, using a consultative, needs-based approach to provide personalised advice on RMIT's programs, services and study pathways. You will act as a subject matter expert, promoting tailored education solutions while managing enquiries across a range of communication channels, including phone, email, live chat, social media, face-to-face interactions and emerging digital platforms.  

 

The role is responsible for achieving student recruitment and conversion targets while maintaining accuratetimely and compliant records within the University's customer relationship management (CRM) system. 

 

 

To be successful in this position, you’ll have:  

  • Demonstrated experience in being a pro-active team member whilst successfully responding to client needs measured through lead generation, conversion to application, and positive customer feedback. 

  • Proven experience in an acquisition/sales/recruitment environment. 

  • Exhibit high level written and verbal communication skills and comprehension skills, and confidently interact with clients from a diverse range of backgrounds. 

  • Demonstrate ability to manage difficult client expectations with successful outcomes. 

  • Experience with CRM for capturing lead and case data based on conversation with prospective students. 

  • Ability to use multiple systems simultaneously and work well under pressure whilst meeting KPI’s. 

  • Ability to interpret complex information and effectively and efficiently converse with individuals at all levels while dealing with customers from diverse backgrounds. 

  • Comfortable to work in a call centre environment and adhering to a roster.
