THE ROLE
Join the Production Engineering Team to define and build the automation and service delivery capabilities that underpin Pure Storage's vision of delivering storage as a seamless cloud service. As a foundational member of this early-stage team, you will significantly contribute to architecting and implementing highly resilient distributed control systems and developer API libraries. This role is critical in integrating our core products into a next-generation, scalable, and transactional cloud platform.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Design and implement scalable, resilient distributed control systems and transactional processing platforms essential for delivering storage as a cloud service.
Architect and build developer-facing API libraries and declarative/intent-based policy management engines that simplify cloud service consumption and interaction.
Lead the integration of Pure Storage products across the portfolio by developing the necessary observability, telemetry functionality, and APIs.
Drive the full software product lifecycle from early concept and product definition through MVP development, successful GA/New Product Introduction, and mature product support.
Define and evolve the technical roadmap for cloud data services, containers/Kubernetes orchestration, and core virtualization capabilities (storage, compute, network) within the production environment.
WHAT YOU BRING
Expert-level knowledge in cloud technologies and services, including deep familiarity with virtualization, containers/Kubernetes, orchestration, and core cloud data services.
Proven experience in the creation, implementation, and support of developer APIs and building/managing complex distributed systems and control planes.
Demonstrated ability to architect and manage large-scale Public/Private Cloud environments, ideally from a cloud provider or enterprise end-user perspective.
Deep technical understanding of cloud architectures, encompassing SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS models, and how they relate to modern storage delivery.
Strong ability to lead, influence, and drive technical consensus across broad organizational boundaries, engaging effectively with peers and executives.
We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Bengaluru (Blr) office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.
