Introduction

GlobalFoundries operates a Test Facility at the Dresden site. As part of the fab, Test is responsible for the functional testing of the manufactured wafers, known as wafer sorting. The development of test solutions for autonomous mobility, Industry 4.0 and 5G in Europe is an interesting and great challenge for which we would like to expand the team with an experienced Test Development Engineer.

Job Profile

As a test engineer, you will be responsible for developing test programs and test hardware for functional testing of SOC devices with memory, NVM, logic, and mixed signal as well as RF components, and for transferring the test programs to production. The job includes:

  • Developing test concepts, test hardware, and test programs for functional testing of devices with memory, NVM, logic, and mixed signal/RF components

  • Electrical characterization of NVM, memory logic, and mixed signal/RF devices to support our technology development, yield engineering, and quality teams

  • Installation, correlation, and release of test programs and test hardware for production

  • Yield optimization, test time reduction, and continuous improvement of the test process

  • Creation of test project documentation


Required Qualifications

  • Completed degree in the fields of information technology/communications engineering/electrical engineering/physics

  • Professional experience is an advantage, but the position is also open to graduates

  • Experience with test hardware and programming skills (preferably National Instruments Labview and Teststand) are an advantage

  • Programming skills in C/C++/Java/Perl

  • Very good knowledge of electronic measurement methods

  • Knowledge of NVM test procedures is an advantage

  • Very good written and spoken English skills
