Your role at Clorox:

This position is responsible for product regulatory compliance across Greater China (China, Taiwan, HK). This role will be an integral member of our business team, setting regulatory pathways, managing day-to-day operations, and building our regulatory capabilities across multiple business lines. Developing and maintaining strong relationships with external regulatory stakeholders, relevant governmental agencies and industry associations will be a key element of success!

In this role, you will:

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as an integral member of the Product Safety & Regulatory Affairs team supporting product regulatory compliance for goods imported and/or sold in Greater China.
  • Ensure compliance with a broad portfolio of household, cosmetics, food contact materials and consumer packaged goods.   
  • Act as primary Regulatory Affairs representative for Greater China, developing robust relationships with cross-functional teams (e.g., R&D, Legal, Mkt, Quality, Supply Chain), regulatory experts, governmental agencies and relevant industry associations.
  • Serve as an integral member of the GCK team, advising and collaborating on all regulatory/compliance related matters within the region.
  • Monitor and communicate existing and changing regulations, as well as their impact to our business.
  • Develop and implement a variety of regulatory and/or compliance strategies to enable innovation and product expansion.  
  • Participate on project teams providing overall regulatory guidance from development to execution.
  • Lead, plan & execute complex technical projects.
  • Ensure compliance from development to shelf, including product registrations, chemical reporting, labeling, and marketing communications, etc.
  • Establish a robust network of consultants, industry experts and key stakeholders

What we look for:

Years and Type of Experience:

  • Extensive experience working with regulated products within FMCG/CPG global organizations, including chemical reporting
  • 7+ years of experience working with regulated products, experience in cosmetics or cleaning/disinfectants is highly preferred

Education Level/Degree:

  • BS in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Food Science, Microbiology, Biological Science or equivalent

Technical Skills:

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interface with regulators, cross-functional teams and regulatory colleagues
  • Strong analytical skills reviewing and implementing regulations
  • Experience working with government agencies, industry associations and 3rd party service providers
  • Working knowledge of relevant regulations for the region, including GB standards

Other expected or desired characteristics:

  • Ability to effectively work within a remote-based team environment
  • Strong management and leadership skills.
  • Fluent in Mandarin and English is a must.
