We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Reliability Engineer who specializes in Dynatrace Administration to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our Dynatrace environment, ensuring the reliability and performance of our applications. You will work closely with development, operations, and other teams and vendors to proactively identify and resolve performance issues, implement new monitoring solutions, and provide expert guidance on best practices.
Key responsibilities for the role:
- Platform Administration: Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade the Dynatrace platform, including OneAgent deployments, environment configuration, and user management.
- Monitoring Setup and Configuration: Design, implement, and maintain custom dashboards, alerts, and reports based on business needs and application requirements.
- Troubleshooting and Performance Analysis: Proactively identify and troubleshoot application performance issues using Dynatrace. Analyze root causes and work with development and operations teams to implement solutions.
- Automation: Develop and implement automated solutions to streamline Dynatrace administration tasks and integrate with other systems.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with development, operations, and other teams to ensure proper instrumentation and utilization of Dynatrace. Effectively communicate findings, recommendations, and best practices.
- Best Practices: Stay up to date with the latest Dynatrace features, updates, and best practices. Implement and promote best practices within the organization. Provide input to Dynatrace Roadmap development and lead execution efforts.
- Documentation: Create and maintain documentation related to Dynatrace configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Security Compliance: Ensure compliance with security policies and guidelines related to the Dynatrace platform.
- Capacity Planning: Monitor resource utilization and plan for future capacity needs.
- Training and Support: Provide training and support to users on the Dynatrace platform.
Key skills/experience qualifications for the role:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience) required.
- Experience: 4+ years of hands-on experience administering and maintaining the Dynatrace platform.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of Dynatrace architecture, components, and features (e.g., OneAgent, Real User Monitoring (RUM), Synthetic Monitoring, AI-powered problem detection).
- Demonstrated knowledge in developing monitoring extensions leveraging the Dynatrace Extensions 2.0 Framework
- Proficiency in configuring and customizing dashboards, alerts, and reports within Dynatrace.
- Experience with various monitoring technologies and methodologies.
- Solid understanding of networking, application performance, and infrastructure concepts.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation.
- Experience integrating Dynatrace with other tools (e.g., ticketing systems, CI/CD pipelines).
- Working knowledge of networks, server software, databases, and cloud technologies in an enterprise environment.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and identify root causes.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, Sr. Leadership and vendors.
- Problem-Solving: Proactive and solution-oriented with a focus on continuous improvement to resolve difficult to complex problems and situations
- Preferred:
- Dynatrace Certified Professional certification
- Experience in DevOps environments
The estimated salary range for this position is $115,000.00 to $130,000.00. Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
