Job Overview

DFW Airport is looking for a Facility Maintenance Controller to keep our world-class airport running at peak performance. Based in the Integrated Operations Center (the airport’s nerve center), you’ll coordinate maintenance responses, manage contractors, and ensure our facilities and infrastructure stay safe, reliable, and passenger-ready 24/7.

What You’ll Do:

  • Serve as the primary contact for maintenance-related inquiries and coordinate ETAM’s response to all routine, critical, and urgent work requests.

  • Review, prioritize, and issue work orders, ensuring accuracy and completeness in collaboration with ETAM Supervisors and Quality Control Technicians.

  • Interface with contractors, tenants, and internal stakeholders via phone, radio, email, and web-based systems.

  • Monitor contractor performance, enforce Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and provide timely performance reports.

  • Maintain detailed documentation of requests, responses, and contractor compliance in computerized systems.

  • Support the development of maintenance schedules, project coordination, and planned/unplanned power outages.

  • Participate in cross-functional teams to evaluate and implement technology solutions to improve ETAM processes.

  • Provide data analysis, reporting, and recommendations to leadership for continuous improvement.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Four (4) years of experience in facilities or general maintenance, including work order management and contractor oversight.

  • Two (2) years of airport-specific maintenance experience or closely related field.

  • Must be able to work rotating shifts and flexible hours.

  • Possession of a valid Class C driver’s license.

  • Ability to obtain FBI Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) clearance within 6 months of hire.

Working Conditions:

  • Work based in the Integrated Operations Center (IOC).

  • Frequent use of multiple computer systems, two-way radios, and multi-line phone systems.

  • Requires clear near-visual acuity for monitors and reports.

  • Exchanges information in person, via radio, and by phone.

  • May be required to work in emergency or inclement weather situations as an Essential Employee.
