As Project Controls Analyst, you will serve as a trusted resource for construction projects and the primary liaison between operations, and corporate finance. This highly visible and fast-paced position is charged with financial reporting, compliance, and processing responsibilities over projects ranging in size from $1 million to $300 million in contract value.

Responsibilities

This position will report directly to the Project Controls Manager with input from the lead Project Manager on associated projects. This individual will be in the middle of the action, working directly on our project sites and closely collaborating with our project team and trade partners.

Project Accounting & Administration 

  • Subcontractor requisition and accounts payable processing 

  • Consumable materials purchasing and equipment inventory monitoring 

  • Assist with project setup, and owner contract review and readiness

  • Verify insurance coverage for subcontractors

  • Small Business Tracking and Reporting

  • Support monthly project financial forecast 

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly cost and productivity reports

  • Key performance indicator monitoring 

  • Change Order Monitoring & Reconciliation

  • Assisting with owner requisition 

  • Internal audit finding resolution

  • Assist on all activities related to contract administration, change orders, procurement, and financial reporting

  • Have thorough knowledge of the company's contracts and understanding of all parties involved

  • Lead, train, and develop project team members

  • Lead project close-out of project, including verification of contract requirements, and preparation of final payment documents for subcontractors

  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with counterparts at owner, engineering and design firms

  • Establish a deadline and monitor the progress of assigned tasks

  • Process innovation and improvement

  • Drive a culture of safety on the project site 

  • Provide leadership to foster an environment of inclusion and diversity

General

  • Proactively identify and develop relationships with industry professionals to generate and win the right work

  • Take an active role in recruiting top industry talent to join the Shirley team. Identify, hire, and retain outstanding people

  • Exceed our stakeholders’ expectations by anticipating their needs, desires, and goals

Basic Qualifications

  • Degree from an accredited college or university in Construction Management, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or other business-related fields or similar relevant work experience

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Careful attention to detail and reliability of output

  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced team environment

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SAP, Smartsheet, Coupa, or Google platforms a plus

  • Highly motivated individual with strong organizational and time management skills

  • Strong quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills
