We are seeking a Manager Accounting to lead our US business resources team supporting Drivetrain Operations in East Peoria, IL and Mossville, IL.  Drivetrain products are an integral part of Caterpillar machines being assembled across the globe.

What You Will Do:

In this role, you will provide strategic financial leadership and business decision support for the East Peoria Bldg KK and Mossville H facilities. You’ll be responsible for developing critical business insights and advising management on a wide range of areas including manufacturing and business planning, financial planning & analysis, investment evaluation internal controls, OIAs, inventory,  legal entity close and product costing.

This position offers regular interaction with senior operations leadership. You will lead a team of five accountants also located in the facility.  This role will collaborate with cross functional teams to drive improvements and process efficiencies.

What You Have:

• Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
• Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
• Managing People: Knowledge of processes involved in managing people; ability to lead successful teams, and diligently address issues related to performance and conflicts at the workplace.
• Financial Analysis: Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material.

What Will Set You Apart:

• Proven history of business partnering
• Experience in Axiom
• Experience in PowerBI
• Knowledge of SAP and/or MAMM

• Primary location: East Peoria, IL Building KK
• This role requires 5 days a week in office

Summary Pay Range:

$144,960.00 - $217,320.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
