The pay range is $89,700.00 - $161,500.00

As a Planning Operations Lead, you will take the lead in providing rich business insights for the Planning Organization, while leading cross enterprise planning initiatives that enable strategy and streamline work across the function. In close partnership with the Merchandising roundtable and Planning Leadership, you will take on the coordination of developing a program plan and create the learning plans to successfully deliver the objectives of your assigned work stream. You will drive the creation of cross functional teams, coordination of resources, and work with Business Owners and Enterprise Teams to prioritize work against overarching project goals.  This individual establishes program management and prioritization routines with key partners, including the thoughtful sequencing of the work, ensuring clarity with priorities and establishment of milestones and measurement. You will ensure a common understanding of goals, objectives and outcomes across a diverse and vast set of stakeholder groups as well as Sr. Leadership. This role requires a leader who is curious, has excellent collaboration and communication skills, is willing to take risks, is a critical thinker with a continuous improvement mindset, has strong analytical skillset and financial background, and has experience working across and integrating a variety of data sets to gather insights and tell a story.

About you

  • Four-year degree or equivalent experience
  • 6-10 years of relevant experience
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills that can be tailored to different (large) audiences
  • Ability to think in terms of future state and help others accelerate their learning
  • Ability to connect across multiple bodies of work to lift themes and create learning plans
  • Passion for teaching and developing others
  • Strong functional understanding of the planning role and roundtable teams
  • Ability to create, document, and manage enterprise-wide process simply and effectively  
  • Experience developing/launching best practices within a team or organization preferred
  • Ability to lead and manage multiple parallel efforts and cross functional teams
  • Ability to lead through change and motivate others
  • Comfortable navigating and leading through diverse set of stakeholders and being able to influence Sr. Leadership and subject matter experts
  • Experience working with a global team preferred

This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target’s needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member’s core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day.
