Job Description

Position: Food and Beverage Manager 1

Department: Food & Beverage (Savor)

Reports to: Director of Food and Beverage

FLSA status: Salary

Summary

Oversee all F&B locations operations and maintaining their function on a daily basis.  Responsible for managing and delivering with quality, consistency, and innovation all aspects of the food and beverage operations at the SNHU Arena.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Hiring and Training of all Food & Beverage Servers, Cashiers, Bartenders, and other essential staff.
  • Process and gathering of payroll for Food & Beverage Staff
  • Manages Concessions and Premium Staff during events.
  • Works with clients on menu development, event design, and execution.
  • Maintains the proper image and generates positive public relations with patrons and staff.
  • Schedules staff and assigns job duties to F&B team members at each location based on event / non-event day demand.
  • Coordinates with Kitchen Staff, Director of Food & Beverage on menu development, event coordination and execution.
  • Works with Kitchen staff on menu pricing and accurate costing as associated to menu development.
  • Creates invoices and provides billing to clients within timeframes of event services.
  • Creative in marketing, concession signage and sales displays.
  • Works interdepartmentally to process and gather event related information
  • Client interactions and ability handle requests and offer solutions.
  • Helps in event set up and take down as needed.
  • Position is very hands on with excessive interaction with staff and customers during events and ability to facilitate set up of events.
  • Implements facility rules and procedures, regulations and policies.
  • Maintains NPO documents, staffing and scheduling
  • Utilizes POS system as part of day to day function and event day function, closing, rectifying and opening.
  • Coordination with clients on premium services, suites and catering.
  • Ensures all Food & Beverage areas are maintained and kept in an orderly fashion.
  • Other duties as assigned by Director of Food and Beverage and other ASM Global senior management staff.

  • At least two years of management experience in concessions facility servicing concessions for large events.
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong orientation to customer service and ability to work with other staff members in the facility.
  • Results oriented individual with the ability to meet required budgetary goals.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, communication and inter-personal skills.
  • Ability to undertake and complete multiple tasks.
  • Computer skills to include Excel programs.
  • Serve-safe certified, Local Alcohol Compliance Training TEAM, Serve Safe Allergen
  • Ability to be creative with marketing presentations and maintain a quality product.
  • Attention to detail and service oriented.

Education and/or Experience    

    

  • College degree and/or equivalent work experience in a comparable facility or related field required. 
  • At least 2 years of previous hospitality management experience in a fast paced, high volume environment required
  • At least two years of management experience in concessions facility servicing concessions for large events.
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years Customer Service experience 

Other Qualifications 

  • Must be able to work extended and/or irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Travel between building properties possible not required.
