Summary:
As an Application Support Engineer, you will act as software detectives, providing a dynamic service that identifies and resolves issues within multiple components of critical business systems. Your typical day will involve collaborating with various teams to troubleshoot problems, ensuring system reliability, and implementing solutions that enhance operational efficiency. You will engage with stakeholders to understand their needs and provide timely support, contributing to the overall success of the organization.
Roles & Responsibilities:
OCI Architecture & Deployment
•Design, implement, and manage OCI IaaS components including Compute, Block/Boot Volumes, Object Storage, File Storage, and Load Balancers.
•Configure and optimize Virtual Cloud Networks (VCNs), subnets, routing, DRGs, VPNs, and FastConnect.
•Deploy highly available, scalable, and resilient infrastructure solutions.
Operations & Administration
•Manage day-to-day OCI IaaS operations: monitoring, performance tuning, cost optimization, patching, and capacity planning.
•Implement governance best practices using Compartments, Resource Tags, Policies, and Quotas.
•Troubleshoot infrastructure incidents and ensure high uptime.
Security & Compliance
•Configure IAM policies, dynamic groups, federated identity, and KMS encryption.
•Implement network security (NSGs, Security Lists, WAF, Bastion).
•Support compliance requirements (ISO, SOC, GDPR, HIPAA etc.) through proper cloud configurations.
Automation & DevOps
•Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, OCI Resource Manager, Ansible, or other tools.
•Implement CI/CD pipelines integrating OCI services.
•Develop scripts for optimization and routine maintenance tasks.
Migration & Integration
•Plan and execute migrations from on-premises or other cloud providers to OCI using OCI Migration tools.
•Support integration with databases, middleware, APIs, and hybrid architectures.
•Conduct PoCs and validate application workloads on OCI.
Monitoring & Optimization
•Use OCI Monitoring, Logging, Events, and Alarms to maintain proactive system health.
•Continuously optimize cost, performance, and resource utilization.
Professional & Technical Skills:
•3–7+ years of experience working with cloud infrastructure (OCI, AWS, Azure, or GCP).
•Strong hands-on experience with OCI IaaS services and cloud networking.
•Proficiency in Terraform or equivalent IaC tools.
•Knowledge of Linux/Unix system administration.
•Understanding of cloud security principles, IAM, encryption, and compliance frameworks.
•OCI certifications, such as:
•OCI Foundations Associate
•OCI Architect Associate / Professional
•OCI Cloud Operations Associate
•Experience with DevOps tools (GitLab, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes).
•Experience with hybrid cloud or on-prem migration strategies.
•Scripting skills in Bash, Python, PowerShell, or similar.
•Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
•Excellent communication and documentation skills.
•Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
•Customer-centric mindset with strong stakeholder management.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Administration.
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
