Zelis Insights and Empowerment helps payers provide a better member experience through analytics tools to build, optimize and manage strong, high performing networks for their members, by providing a reliable data foundation to power provider search during open-enrollment, and through member engagement tools to activate and engage members when looking for care.  

 

Within the Insights and Empowerment product marketing team, Zelis is seeking a Marketing Manager to support the product marketing function in developing, managing, and implementing product marketing strategies for Member Engagement and Network Analytics products. The ideal candidate will possess product marketing experience in B2B SaaS or services, prior healthcare experience and have experience working collaboratively on product commercialization and sales enablement. This role will report to the Senior Director, Product Marketing and can be based anywhere in the U.S.   

 

The Role 

The Marketing Manager – Insights and Empowerment will play a key role in supporting the Product Marketing team’s efforts to build and execute comprehensive marketing strategies. The Marketing Manager will become proficient in their understanding of Provider Networks, Provider Directories, Member Engagement, Member Activation, and Member Guidance Products and APIs. This individual contributor will closely align with the Product Marketing, Product Management, Segment Directors, and extended marketing partners to inform through research, build, project manage and advance product launch and customer adoption initiatives.  

 

The ideal candidate will be a business-savvy marketer who can translate broad strategy goals and objectives into trackable projects that deliver on Insights and Empowerment go-to-market needs. This role will support the product marketing function in partnering with the business unit to develop, manage, and implement product marketing messaging and strategies for focused areas within Member Engagement and Network Analytics products. The Marketing Manager will develop outlines and storylines for thought leadership content and will build product focused sales enablement pieces, ensuring all pieces reflect insight-driven value propositions and messaging. 

To succeed, this candidate must be resourceful, comfortable working independently, and hold strong ownership of their projects, while demonstrating working knowledge of marketing domains including market research, sales enablement, positioning, and value messaging. Prior experience in or the ability to quickly gain a deep understanding of the healthcare payer ecosystem, claims processing and provider networks landscape, and payment integrity to support expansion of existing products and launch and commercialization of new products is critical to the role.    

 

 

Responsibilities 

  • Inform and support the development and execution of strategic marketing plans to drive awareness, adoption, and revenue growth for Insights and Empowerment solutions.  

  • Engage in and project manage market research and interpretation of results to identify customer needs, market trends, and changes across the competitive landscape. 

  • Build strong collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams to include product management, sales, and operations to define product positioning, messaging, go-to-market strategies and maintaining product launch calendars.   

  • Assist in the creation of compelling marketing collateral such as product presentations, datasheets, case studies, and whitepapers to support sales efforts and educate customers. 

  • Inform product launches and awareness campaigns including coordinating internal and external stakeholders, deadlines, and report outs.  

  • Inform demand generation campaigns across multiple channels including digital marketing, email, events, and webinars to grow awareness and pipeline influence.  

  • Interpret marketing campaign performance and ROI, leveraging data and analytics to inform how product marketing can optimize marketing tactics to drive continuous improvement. 

  • Assist Insights and Empowerment Product Marketing Senior Director scope, document, and execute product specific customer education campaigns to drive product adoption. 

  • Monitor competitive activity and market dynamics, identifying opportunities and threats to inform product roadmap, positioning, and strategic decision-making.  

  • Manage list pulls and other data related projects as required. 

 

Requirements 

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in B2B healthcare marketing, advertising, product, or related field 

  • Proficient in effectively managing complex projects 

  • Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills to build cross-functional partnerships in a matrixed environment 

  • Experience in translating insights and strategies into effective integrated marketing tactics 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to help articulate customer and business needs and product value proposition 

  • Critical thinker capable of producing applied insights and problem-solving 

  • Self-starter and quick learner with the desire to learn new tools and techniques 

  • Agile, able to deliver high-quality results under tight timelines 

  • Familiarity with healthcare industry and payer landscape a strong plus 

  • Experience in B2B and/or B2B2B technology or professional services marketing a plus 

  • Preferred: Healthcare industry experience

  • Ability to travel as needed, not exceeding 20% 

EDUCATION: 

  • Bachelor’s degree required
