About the Role

Strategic Partnership Development, Consultant

Report to: Chief Partnership Distribution Officer

Location: Ho Chi Minh

THE OPPORTUNITY:

We are looking for a Strategic Partnership Development, Consultant who will:

  • Be accountable to secure & develop new partnerships (either banks or non-bank institutions), and subsequently liaising with different departments, SMEs to deliver business objectives through strategic planning, relationship management, and operational excellence.
  • Identify, Plan, Execute potential alternative distribution partners to expand AIA Vietnam’s reach beyond traditional agency and bancassurance models.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategy & Business Development

  • Evaluate emerging distribution opportunities across digital platforms, affinity groups, retail ecosystems, and financial institutions (banks & non-banks) to diversify AIA Vietnam’s partnership distribution.
  • Nurture strategic partnerships with external entities (e.g., e-commerce platforms, telcos, lifestyle brands) to co-create value propositions that resonate with target segments.
  • Drive innovation in partnership models to enhance customer reach and value proposition.

Sales & Business Planning

  • Develop strategic sales and business plans for new partners in bancassurance and alternative channels.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify growth opportunities and competitive positioning.
  • Build robust financial forecasts and ensure alignment with company objectives.
  • Design and implement go-to-market strategies for alternative channels, ensuring alignment with regulatory frameworks, customer needs, and AIA’s brand promise.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Strategy, Finance, Product, Marketing, CO/IT and Risk to develop fit-for-partner solutions, ensuring operational readiness and scalability.

Sales & Business Execution

  • Implement a needs-based sales model to ensure customer-centric solutions.
  • Consult to ensure successful and smooth sales activity management, pipeline development, and performance tracking.
  • Monitor and optimize channel performance through data-driven insights, refining models to improve conversion, persistency, and customer satisfaction.
    Champion innovation by piloting new distribution formats (e.g., embedded insurance, microinsurance, subscription models) and leveraging digital tools to enhance reach and engagement.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field; MBA preferred.
Experience: Minimum 05 years in distribution strategy, partnership development, or business development within life insurance or financial services. Proven track record of complex project execution.

Certification / Licenses: Relevant certifications in insurance, digital marketing, or partnership management are advantageous.
