We are looking for a highly motivated student to join our team!
Our Intern Program is designed to support the development of students and recent graduates for future positions by offering one-on-one mentoring, peer and experiential learning, internal training programs, and much more. We are currently accepting applications for undergraduate and master’s level students or recent graduates seeking the opportunity to work in the investment management space.
This position will support IMCO’s risk oversight function by assisting with the identification, assessment, and monitoring of key strategic, operational and reputational risks. This role provides exposure to risk management frameworks, methodologies, tools, governance processes, cross-functional collaboration – and will provide an understanding of how the discipline of risk management supports strategic decision-making and organizational resilience.
Responsibilities Include:
Analysis of Quarterly ERM Survey results (creating a PowerPoint deck with key messaging of results)
Participating in Business Impact Analysis / risk identification & assessment meetings, and assisting with updating information within departmental Business Continuity Plans
Research on ERM (ex: reputation risk, risk appetite, key risk indicators) / BCM topics
Support the procurement, selection & onboarding process of a new 3rd party information system solution for Enterprise Risk Management (ERM)
Research & propose potential “use-cases” where Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and Business Continuity Management (BCM) could most benefit from leveraging artificial intelligence
What You Need to Succeed:
Critical thinking
Creative mindset; conceptualizing & laying out information in an effective, interesting manner to an array of readers
PowerPoint & Excel - intermediate level proficiency
Strong research & analytical skills
Self-starter with great work ethic and be able to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues of all levels
Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail as well as excellent writing skills

The base salary range for this position is CAD $45,000 to $65,000. The placement within the range is determined by the role and assessment of the candidate’s year of study and relevant work experience.
