The Role
We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our Archiving team, which develops and maintains our cloud-native Proofpoint Enterprise Archive solution. This solution helps customers streamline e-discovery and supervision processes, reduce compliance risks, and manage long-term information retention. As a member of the team, you will work on back-end services and infrastructure, contributing to the scalability and performance of our archiving platform.
Your Day-to-Day
Collaborate with product managers to define and refine feature requirements.
Design and implement scalable, reliable, and secure back-end services.
Participate in Agile/Scrum processes, including daily stand-ups, retrospectives, planning, and demos.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues.
Ensure high-quality code through unit testing, code reviews, and continuous integration.
Research and implement new technologies to improve development practices.
What You Bring to the Team
1-2 years of experience delivering production software with expertise in Java and related frameworks.
Experience with technologies such as Solr, OpenSearch, Kafka, Kubernetes, Terraform, AWS S3, EC2.
Solid understanding of REST API development using Spring.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
Experience with source control tools like GitHub and Bitbucket.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with front-end frameworks such as React or Angular.
Knowledge of TypeScript.
Experience with large-scale distributed systems.
Familiarity with cloud-native architectures and microservices.
