Job Summary:

The Inventory Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the accurate and efficient management of perpetual inventory systems to ensure optimal stock levels, minimize shortages, and support uninterrupted healthcare operations. This position is crucial in maintaining real-time visibility of inventory movements, implementing inventory control strategies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize inventory management processes.

What you will do:

  • Perpetual Inventory Management: Maintain perpetual inventory systems, including Workday and NiceLabel. Ensure the accuracy and completeness of inventory data by conducting regular audits, reconciliations, and cycle counts.
  • Inventory Optimization: Analyze inventory levels, usages, and demand forecasts to optimize stock levels and minimize excess or obsolete inventory. Collaborate with procurement teams to establish reorder points, safety stock levels, and inventory replenishment schedules based on demand variability and lead times.
  • Inventory Control: Influence others to follow inventory control policies, procedures, and best practices to prevent stock-outs, overstocking, and inventory discrepancies. Implement measures to improve inventory accuracy, such as standardizing labeling, storage, and picking processes, and implementing quality assurance protocols.
  • Supplier Management: Work closely with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely and accurate delivery of inventory items. Monitor supplier performance metrics, such as on-time delivery rates and product quality, and address any issues or discrepancies in collaboration with procurement teams.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, logistics, warehouse operations, and clinical staff, to optimize inventory management processes and address supply chain challenges. Communicate effectively to align inventory management practices with organizational goals and priorities.
  • Technology Integration: Adopt and utilize the inventory management systems and tools
  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Maintain inventory performance metrics and KPIs to monitor inventory accuracy, turnover rates, stock-outs, and excess inventory levels. Utilize reports and dashboards to track key metrics and identify areas for improvement. Present findings and recommendations to management to support decision-making.

  • Education: High school diploma required, Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations management, business administration, or related field preferred.

  • Experience: 1+ years of healthcare supply chain experience.

Physical Demands: Light work (exerting up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally, and up to 10 lbs. of force frequently and or a small amount of force constantly to move objects)
