Job Description: This role focuses on supporting the design, development, and maintenance of data structures, pipelines, and processes that simplify reporting and analytics and contribute to a single version of truth (SVOT). The intern will gain hands-on experience working with modern data warehousing tools and help ensure the accuracy, reliability, and accessibility of enterprise data.

This position consists of two main parts:

  • Supporting data engineering and warehousing initiatives

  • Assisting with data analysis, validation, and internal data support needs.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in building and maintaining data models to simplify reporting and analytics

  • Support data extraction, profiling, deduplication, standardization, transformation, loading, and archiving processes

  • Help process, clean, and verify the integrity of data used for analysis

  • Assist in creating and maintaining tables through ETL processes (Matillion) and Snowflake tasks

  • Analyze and test data pipelines and validate integrity within star schema environments

  • Perform ad-hoc data analysis and present findings in a clear and organized manner

  • Support co-workers with SQL and other data-related needs

  • Act as a bridge between IT/data engineering and business users to help ensure alignment of data requirements

  • Respond to additional ad-hoc needs and requests

Job Qualifications:

  • Current student at a University pursuing a degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, or a related major

  • Familiarity with relational databases and database management concepts

  • Foundational understanding of dimensional modeling (preferred)

  • Basic to intermediate proficiency in SQL

  • Exposure to Snowflake, dBT, or other data warehousing tools preferred

  • Experience with Tableau, Python, or R is a plus

  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  • Excellent time management skills

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment

  • Passion and aptitude for quickly learning new technical skills

  • Curiosity and willingness to dig into data to identify and resolve issues
