Mission

The System Validation Dept Métier Manager is driving the performances of the Dept metier disciplines throughout the scope of their organization. The missions are:

- Ensure that is metier remains at the state of the art level 

- P,M&T: Responsible of Engineering Processes definition and deployment

- Ensure the level of Competency

- Budget

- Footprint

Responsibilities

Ensure that Metier remains at the state of the art level

• Manage the Metier Efficiency Plan by driving continuous improvement activities together with his/her network

• Lead / Participate to the global efficiency plan (inter department) to continuously define and implement action leading to reduce development cost and optimize workload activities

• Drive the Certification process (CMMi, …) if applicable

• Define and maintain standard in his metier

• Support RAISE team by ensuring that Product standard (RAISE) is well known and deployed.

• Ensure that best practices are capitalized and transversalized.

Process, Methodology, Tools, Equipment

• Deploy Project Test Management processes in line with CDV SMART in DVS PL. Ensure workflows are aligned to CLEAN milestones. Ensure deployment with Awareness, Training, Deployment monitoring and Reporting. Support DVS PL by giving necessary guidance. Define new procedures, guides, templates where deemed necessary and work to incorporate to CDV level. 

• Provide guidance and support to Ops and Platform new key areas of test (Fusa, Cyber Security, Smart etc.)

• Monitor the test process deployment progress in all Platform & Operations groups

• Drive innovation in areas of test tools and test methodologies

• Support CDV initiative for overall PL standardisation and scalability of Test Tools & Infrastructure

• Ensure equivalence between results of the different equipments

• Participate to the definition of, and implement the process, methods and the tools necessary to properly handle new/future projects and new/future Technologies (in line with TDP)

• Deploy the Engineering process, methodology and tools defined by / together with the Métier Mngr / Dir

• Ensure the full deployment of 5 axes methodology

Competency 

• Support operations to drive competency evolution plan using TDP and MTP.

• Participate to the Valeo Expertise process by identifying with the metier network, candidate to Expert path.

• Develop and manage with the support of Technical Institute (ie: visiTED) Training plan and training content.

• Ensure that Métier community is regularly trained on new standard and new technologies and tools which are relevant to improve their performance.

• Be an access point to Product lines/ Regional Operation to liaise to any expert requested to support a specific need (ex.: support for a technical issue)

Budget

• Support operations to define, optimize and achieve their budget 

• Ensure Standard Workloads are available

Footprint

• Support operations to optimize R&D footprint: critical mass per site, equipments

• Coordinate activities with Engineering Centers (VECs and TECs). Manage the consolidation of needs (Budget) and support with training development of resources

• Facilitate resources balancing between Operations

Management 

• Manage his organization of Metier Leaders/Engineers.

• General Personal Management & Team Management activities – AAI, MYR ..etc.

• Propose trainings and career evolutions

• Responsible of recruitment of the members of his department

• Functional Management to Ops & Platform team
