Position Summary


We are seeking a dynamic Operations Strategy Specialist to help shape the future of manufacturing at Polaris. This role focuses on driving operational excellence by refining processes, identifying value creation opportunities, and leading projects related to insourcing and outsourcing. You will play a key role in standardizing operations, aligning stakeholders, and executing initiatives that enhance efficiency, quality, and cost performance across the organization.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Quality, or related field
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects in manufacturing environments
  • Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to identify and validate value creation opportunities
  • Familiarity with Operational Excellence tools such as 5S, Kanban, SMED, and TPM/OEE

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related discipline
  • Minimum of 2 years of industry experience in operations or manufacturing strategy
  • Demonstrated ability to organize, lead, and influence cross-functional teams
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% for site and supplier visits

Position Overview
The Operations Strategy Specialist will support the refinement of Polaris’ Manufacturing Optimization approach and contribute to long-range planning through analytical insights and practical recommendations. You will leverage a growing toolbox of operational processes to standardize insourcing, outsourcing, capacity management, and vertical integration activities. This includes developing and documenting process improvements as standard work and networking with stakeholders across departments to align on manufacturing changes that deliver incremental value.

Key responsibilities include identifying new value creation opportunities through make-versus-buy analysis, building consensus for strategic projects, and executing implementation plans that meet safety, quality, schedule, and cost expectations. You will also apply Operational Excellence tools such as value-stream mapping, standard work, cell design, pull systems, and single-piece flow to drive continuous improvement. Strong communication skills and the ability to influence diverse teams are essential for success in this role.
