Job Description:

 Associate, Analyst, Margin


The Role

The Margin Associate is responsible for monitoring large securities and cash transactions, reviewing documentation, and safeguarding both client and firm interests. As a member of the Margin team, you will oversee daily activity within customer cash and margin accounts to ensure adherence to Margin Department policies and procedures while upholding the firm’s high standards.


In this role, you will partner across multiple lines of business to address inquiries related to cash and margin regulations. You will actively monitor and review account activity to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements governing the extension of credit, including Federal Reserve Regulation T and FINRA Rule 4210.


The Expertise and Skills You Bring


  • 2–4 years of margin experience or 3–5 years of brokerage experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred
  • FINRA Series 99 and/or SIE licensing preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience handling inbound client calls and email inquiries
  • Proven organizational and time-management skills in a deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to collaborate and build effective relationships across diverse teams
  • Strong attention to detail, including accuracy in calculations
  • Ability to track, manage, and resolve outstanding issues with timely client updates
  • Capacity to learn multiple functions and develop expertise across product offerings
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

The Margin Team serves as subject-matter experts, operating in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with a focus on accuracy and efficiency. The team collaborates closely to process asset transfers and manage margin-related activities while delivering exceptional client service. With a strong emphasis on sound decision-making and risk management, the team is dedicated to building and maintaining strong partnerships across key business units.

 

Fidelity’s Onsite Working Model
Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.

The base salary range for this position is $44,000-80,000 USD per year.  

Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.

Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
