Job Summary:

The Urgent Care Paramedic is a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team of licensed and unlicensed care givers who ensure that patients, families and significant others receive individualized high quality, safe patient care. They practice in a clinical environment that is administered by Nurse Managers and other leaders.

The Paramedic will support treatment in the Medical Group Urgent Care facility and is required to assist with patient care treatment in conjunction with a Registered Nurse (RN that directs plan of care, team goals, and performance).


Required Minimum Education:

High School graduate Required or GED High School graduate

Graduation from an accredited paramedic training program.

Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s):

Licensed Paramedic by the by the State of Georgia.

Basic Life Support or BLS - Instructor

Also Required Within 6 Months of Employment:

Pediatric Adv Life Support or PALS - Provisional or PALS - Instructor

Advanced Cardiac Life Support or ACLS - Provisional or ACLS - Instructor

Required Minimum Experience:

Minimum 2 years experience as a paramedic in the field or in a hospital setting is Preferred.
