Job Description

The Vended Application Consultant II successfully delivers product features utilizing vended software, particularly ERP applications, by applying knowledge of the application’s functionality and client business processes. The role contributes to the creation of technical designs for their area and configures vendor software under supervision for new or existing enterprise-wide and business-unit applications.

Role Overview

We are looking for a motivated Apigee Engineer with 2 years of hands-on experience in API Gateway management and observability tools. The role involves supporting daily operations, assisting in automation efforts, and ensuring the reliability of our Apigee platform. This position offers exposure to large-scale API environments and opportunities to grow in automation and SRE practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Support Apigee API Gateway day-to-day operations, including proxy deployment, policy updates, and certificate management.
• Assist in building and maintaining Datadog dashboards and monitors for API health and performance visibility.
• Troubleshoot incidents under senior engineer guidance and contribute to RCA documentation.
• Contribute to automation scripts and operational playbooks (Python, Shell, or Ansible).
• Work with internal teams to ensure secure and stable API platform operations.
• Maintain and update runbooks, knowledge base articles, and standard operating procedures.

Required Skills & Experience

• Around 2 years of experience supporting or managing Apigee Edge or Hybrid environments.
• Basic understanding of API policies, routing, and authentication mechanisms.
• Familiarity with Datadog (dashboards and alert configurations).Its an Added Advantage
• Working knowledge of Linux and basic scripting (Shell or Python).
• Exposure to automation tools like Ansible is a plus.
• Awareness of incident/change management and ITIL processes.

• Eagerness to learn and improve automation and observability skills.
• Strong problem-solving and collaboration abilities.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to work in on-call rotations under senior guidance.
